Dr. Dinesh Chand

Dr. Dinesh Chand is an Engg. Professional having B. Engg. (Civil) from University of Gorakhpur; M. Engg. (Environnemental) from Indian Institute of Technology (formerly University Of Roorkee) and Ph. D from University of Rajasthan.
He has over 35 years of experience in the field of Water & Air Pollution Control, Water Supply & Sanitation Sector and the sector’s planning and implementation aspects. During the above period, he held various posts starting his career as Asstt. Environmental Engineer (from May1981 to September 1986) – in UP Pollution Control Board; Assistant Adviser and Deputy Adviser (from October 1986 to October 2008) in the Dept. of Drinking Water Supply (Rajiv Gandhi National Drinking Water Mission) (Govt, of India); Joint Adviser (WR) from Nov. 2008-February 2011 in Planning Commission of India. He also worked briefly as Joint Adviser, CPHEEO in Ministry of Urban Development from March-November 2011 before joining back as Additional Adviser (PHE) to Ministry of Drinking water and Sanitation (MDWS). He is also Chief Engineer, International Centre for Drinking Water Quality( under MDWS), Kolkata. He has about 34 papers published in his credit and visited about 11 countries and also represented the Govt, of India in various Ministries/ Departments viz. Forums, Reviews/ Experts Committees, Working Groups/Task Forces and conferences etc.
